About Sambhali U.S.

Sambhali U.S. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that currently supports the women and girls of Rajasthan through programs administered by Sambhali Trust.

History

Sambhali U.S. incorporated in the State of Maryland on July 2, 2019. On October 5th of that year, we had our first Board meeting and, after receiving 501(c)(3) status as a public charity from the Internal Revenue Service, we formally launched our organization on November 15, 2019.

Today, we are a family of volunteers and donors from across the United States who believe every woman should be able to raise her voice and determine her own destiny – and who have taken action to make that belief a reality.

Purpose

The mission of Sambhali U.S. is to support the courageous women and girls of Rajasthan, India who seek to raise their voices with dignity and self-confidence, build a road to economic independence, and ultimately determine their own destinies.

Sambhali U.S. is dedicated to the advancement of women and girls in Rajasthan, India, recognizing the benefit gender equality has on everyone in the community as well as on future generations. We fund efforts to promote self-esteem, education, economic independence, and health; programs to prevent domestic violence, sexual abuse and harassment; and provide emergency assistance to women and children in need. We also help connect interested volunteers to these programs so that they can use their skills and help these causes directly.

We at Sambhali U.S. dedicate our time and energy to raising funds and volunteering in India and the United States because we believe the programs of Sambhali Trust help women and girls envision their true potential and pave the way forward for them. That is why every donation you make is for them, their future, and their children’s future.
