In Their Voices: Bheekho

My name is Bheekho. I am 33 years old. I had three children: two boys and one girl, but I lost one of my sons in a road accident. My husband is a farmer. I live with him, his parents, and, since I have no brother, my mother also lives with us. My daughter is studying in a Sambhali Boarding Home in Jodhpur. I started going to the Sambhali Empowerment Center in the village of Setrawa this January. I am learning sewing. I felt very sad at home after I lost my son, but everyone is very supportive here. I got help with getting proper government documents from Sambhali’s E-mitra program and help from the nurse in Sambhali’s Sathi program. I feel light here. Sambhali supports me very much and I am very happy to be a part of Sambhali.
